Privacy Policy

Last updated 23 September 2026 · applies to amaya.center and the amaya.guru app

This policy explains what data amaya.center and the AMAYA app collect, why we need it, who else processes it, how long we keep it, and how you can access, correct or delete it.

In short

  • We collect only what AMAYA needs to work: your email to sign in, your date, time and place of birth for the calculations, what you write in the app, and your purchase history.
  • We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers or build advertising profiles.
  • The advisor's answers are generated by AI. To make them more accurate, it takes your journal entries into account; you can turn this off in the app's settings.
  • You can view, download, correct or delete your data at any time, in the app's settings or by emailing contact@amaya.center.

1. Who is responsible for your data

Your data is controlled by AMAYA Patagonia SpA, Chile (RUT 78.434.653-6, Puerto Varas, Los Lagos Region). For any question about your data, write to contact@amaya.center.

This policy covers amaya.center and the AMAYA app at amaya.guru.

2. What data we collect

Your account. Your email address for signing in; a password if you set one (our sign-in provider stores it only in encrypted form); and your name or display name, gender and profile photo if you add them. If you sign in with Telegram or connect the AMAYA bot, we receive your Telegram ID, username and name.

Data for the calculations. Your date, time and place of birth, used to calculate your birth chart. The city or coordinates where you are and your time zone, used to calculate your day. We use your device's location only if you allow it. For guests who are not signed in, the city is estimated from the IP address.

What you write and record. Journal and planner entries and files attached to them, dreams, intentions, questions to the advisor and its answers, practice records, your answers during onboarding (goal, experience, pace), and your posts and comments in the community. If you add a birth chart for another person, their birth data is stored in your account too, so please add it only with that person's agreement.

Purchases and PRANA. Your purchase and subscription history, and PRANA credited and spent. We never receive your card number; only the payment provider sees it.

Invitations. If someone invited you to AMAYA, we keep a record of who invited you and where you came from, so that we can reward the person who invited you.

How you use the service. Visits to the app, your feedback on the advisor's answers, and errors. If you send us a bug report, it includes the page address, language, browser type and screen size.

Technical data. Our hosting and database providers see your IP address, browser and device type and request times when they process your requests. We also use IP addresses to limit excessive requests and protect sign-in.

Email from forms on the site. If you leave your address to receive some material, we keep it together with a note of what you asked for.

Journal entries and questions may touch on your health, relationships or beliefs. We treat them as especially sensitive: only you can see them, we never use them for advertising, and we share them only with the services needed to prepare an answer.

3. Why we use your data

  • to sign you in and keep you signed in;
  • to calculate your day and birth chart and prepare the advisor's answers;
  • to store your journal and show it to you;
  • to take payments, open access and keep track of PRANA;
  • to send you emails: sign-in links, welcome emails, a reminder before your free trial ends, and news about AMAYA events; you can unsubscribe from anything other than service emails using the link in the email itself;
  • to protect the service against abuse, fix errors and understand which parts of AMAYA are used;
  • to meet legal requirements, such as tax records.

If the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies to you, our legal bases are: performing our contract with you (your account, calculations, answers and payments), our legitimate interests (protecting and improving the service, and emails about what AMAYA offers), your consent (where we ask for it), and legal obligations (tax records).

4. How the AI advisor works

The advisor's answers, daily guidance and readings are generated by an AI model from Anthropic (Claude). So that an answer is about you, your question is sent together with the calculations for your birth chart and your day, your birth data, the name and gender in your profile, your onboarding answers and, unless you have turned this off, your journal entries and intentions.

To find relevant passages in AMAYA's knowledge base, the text of your question is turned into a numerical representation (an embedding) by an OpenAI model, either through the Vercel AI Gateway or directly with OpenAI.

Journal reading is on by default, because it makes answers more accurate. You can turn it off in the app's settings at any time, and your journal entries and intentions will then no longer be used in answers. The advisor still uses your past conversations with it and its short notes about you, which help it remember you between conversations; you can delete these separately in settings.

To monitor quality, we may keep individual answers together with excerpts of the conversation, and any complaints you make about an answer.

If what you write shows signs of serious distress or danger, AMAYA switches off paid offers and newsletters for you for a few days and answers more gently. To do this, a service flag is set on your account for that period. Other people cannot see it, and it expires on its own.

The advisor does not make decisions about you that have legal effects on you. Its answers are guidance to support your own decisions.

5. Who else processes your data

We share data only with services that help AMAYA work, and only what each needs for its part of the job:

  • Supabase: database, sign-in and file storage;
  • Vercel: hosting for the site and the app, scheduled tasks, and the gateway to the embedding model;
  • Anthropic: the AI model that prepares answers;
  • OpenAI: the model that turns the text of your question into an embedding for search;
  • Resend: sending emails;
  • Kit and Google (a spreadsheet): newsletters and records for people who leave their email in a form;
  • NOWPayments: cryptocurrency payments; the service does not hold funds and is not a party to the transaction; Prodamus: ruble payments; for purchases in a mobile app, Apple or Google through RevenueCat;
  • Tapfiliate: tracking purchases made through partner links (order number and amount);
  • Stape: server-side counting of anonymous events such as "purchase completed," without your name or email;
  • Open-Meteo and BigDataCloud: finding a city by name or coordinates, and weather; they receive a place name or coordinates, never your name or email;
  • Telegram: if you sign in with Telegram or connect the AMAYA bot.

Other members see what you choose to show in the community: your display name, name, photo, title, posts and comments. By default, your display name, title, photo, the gender in your profile and your place in the members' ranking are visible to other signed-in members; you can hide yourself from the ranking in settings. Your journal, questions to the advisor, birth data and purchases are never visible to other people.

We may disclose data where required by law or a court order, or to protect people's lives, rights and safety.

If AMAYA is transferred to another company, your data will move with the service under terms at least as protective as these, and we will tell you in advance.

6. Where your data is stored

The services we use operate in several countries, including the United States, so your data may be stored and processed outside Chile and outside your own country.

We work with providers that protect data under contract. Where the law requires specific safeguards for international transfers, we rely on them, such as the European Union's standard contractual clauses.

7. How long we keep your data

For as long as your account exists. You can delete individual entries, conversations with the advisor and its notes about you yourself at any time.

When you delete your account, we delete your profile, birth data, journal, conversations with the advisor and its notes about you. If you ask us by email, we do this within 30 days.

We keep payment records for as long as Chilean tax law requires, unlinked from the deleted account. Our hosting provider's technical logs are kept for a limited time and deleted automatically. Deleted data disappears from database backups as they are routinely replaced.

We keep an email address left in a form on the site until you unsubscribe.

8. Your rights

At any time, you can:

  • find out what data we hold about you and get a copy;
  • correct inaccurate data; most of it you can fix yourself in your profile and settings;
  • delete specific data or your whole account;
  • receive your data in a machine-readable format so you can move it elsewhere;
  • object to processing or ask us to restrict it;
  • withdraw your consent where processing is based on it, for example by turning off journal reading or unsubscribing from emails.

These rights come from Chile's Law 19.628 on the protection of private life and, if you live in the European Union, from the GDPR. We honour them for everyone, wherever you live.

How to exercise them. You can download a copy of your core data (profile, birth data, journal, dreams, intentions and PRANA history) as a single file in the app's settings. For anything else, including a full copy, account deletion, corrections or objections, email contact@amaya.center from the address linked to your account. You can also delete your account in the app's settings where the delete option is available.

We respond without unnecessary formalities and within 30 days at the latest. If the law of your country sets a shorter deadline, we meet it. To protect your data, we may ask you to confirm that the request comes from you.

If you believe we are breaching your rights, you can complain to the data protection authority in your country. We would appreciate the chance to fix things first, so please write to us.

9. Cookies and browser storage

amaya.center sets only technical cookies: one remembers your choice in the cookie banner (for six months) and one remembers your language. Your choice of dark or light theme is kept in your browser's storage.

The app sets the cookies needed to sign in and use your account: your sign-in session, language and display settings. For guests who are not signed in, it sets a random marker, with no name or email, to count visits and prevent abuse. If you arrived through an invitation link, the invitation and referral source are kept for 30 days. Some settings, such as the place used for calculations, are kept in your browser's storage.

There are no advertising cookies and no third-party trackers. Neither the site nor the app currently runs browser analytics; if we add any, it will be only with your consent, and we will name the service here. The app respects the Do Not Track signal. To count purchases, our server may send anonymous events such as "purchase completed" to Stape, a statistics service, without your name, email or anything else that could identify you.

10. How we protect your data

Data travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Our database is set up so that each user can see only their own records, and team access is limited to those who need it for their work.

We never receive or store your card number or other payment details.

If a breach affects you, we will notify you and the authorities where the law requires it.

11. Age

AMAYA is intended for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children or teenagers. If we learn that an account was created by someone under 18, we will delete the account and its data.

12. Chile's new data protection law

On 1 December 2026, Chile's Law 21.719 takes effect. It updates the protection of personal data and creates the Personal Data Protection Agency.

This policy has been written with its rules in mind: we state the purposes and legal bases of processing, recognise your rights to data portability and to object, and keep data no longer than necessary. Once the Agency is operating, we will update this policy with details of how to contact it.

13. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a significant way, we will email you at least 14 days before the changes take effect. The date of the latest version is shown at the top of this page.
